We where called in to fix a dragging gate and discovered the hinges where installed too low on the post. We also corrected the vertical alignment of the gate to bringing it back to plumb, the gate post may have leaned over due to the weight of the gate over the years, or it wasn’t installed correctly in the beginning.

We went one step further than required and created a stone bolt foundation to allow the weight of the gate to be supported when not in use in the closed position. This will prevent any sag of the gate post and the gate compared to hanging unsupported.
